It’s painful.

The Indians were swept twice on their latest road trip. In our most important series against the White Sox, we struggled to put runners on base. Travis Hafner went 1/11. What’s worse is that we now have the lowest team batting average in the league.

We’ll get through this slump because our fans recognize that you can’t abandon the team— even when you’re down 11-2 in the bottom of the 8th inning in game 7 of the ALCS. You can’t leave early, and you can’t change the channel.

If Eric Wedge can’t motivate the team to perform, the fans are the last line of defense. Morale is everything.

We retired #455 for a reason.
